We'd generally call this type of hull and vessel a sports cruiser. It certainly is not the other two options - it isn't a RIB because it does not have inflatable sponsons fitted, and it isn't a cathedral hull because it only has a single hull in the water.

It is an all-round white light. Although it is carried at the stern on this boat, it is not a sternlight, which has a specific definition and arc of visibility. All round-white lights are used on small powerboats, rather than the paired sternlight and masthead light seen on larger powered craft. It must be switched on from sunset to sunrise, and at any other time it is deemed necessary.

This is the transom of the boat - the flat, vertical reinforcement between the sides of the boat. Typically, your outboard motor will be affixed to the transom, as well as an A-frame if fitted.

The sidelights illuminate the port and starboard side of the vessel, and are visible from the front of the boat, all the way round to 22.5 degrees 'abaft the beam' (essentially they are visible from slightly behind the boat, but not from the stern). They need to be switched on from sunset to sunrise, and at any other time they are deemed necessary.

This is the gunwale of the boat, which is essentially the side of the boat at the upper edge. The reason it is an important term to be familiar with is because you should not have crew members sat anywhere higher than the gunwale: if they fall over they at risk of falling out of the boat.

Simple one! The hull is the watertight body of the boat. In most modern leisure powerboats, the hull is sealed and carries the boat's buoyancy - even in RIBs!

This is a cleat. They are used on boats and pontoons to secure lines to, commonly with either the 0800 method of securing or a locking hitch. Having them present on your boat can make mooring and un-mooring really easy, safe, and quick.

On a small, open powerboat, the helm's position is commonly known as the console. Larger powerboats and motor cruisers might have an enclosed wheelhouse (defined as providing shelter for the person in charge of the ship, which this position definitely does not do!)

The bow of the boat is always the least stable (bumpiest) section of the boat. While the sundeck and V-seating arrangements on many modern RIBs and sports cruisers look enticing, they are actually not a great place to put your crew and guests, because they can be so uncomfortable at higher speeds or in rougher sea states.
