FUN BEYOND DINGHY SAILING

LEARN TO POWERBOAT ON THE JURASSIC COAST, AND TAKE YOUR QUALIFICATION ABROAD.

Powerboat Level 2 is considered the standard gateway into powerboating. By the end of this course, you should have the core competencies required to have a safe and fun day on the water.

Following the PB2, you can apply to the RYA for your International Certificate of Competence. This will allow you to hire boats (up to 10 metres) abroad.

A fun and informative course!

Our Powerboat Level 2 course is suitable for everyone wanting to get qualified, competent and confident in a powered craft. Over two days, our Powerboat Instructors will teach you the basics of powerboat handling and navigation, as well as theoretical elements. At the end of Day 2, you’ll be awarded the RYA Powerboat Level 2 certificate, which can be converted to an ICC to use abroad.

The course is run over two days (16-hours) and is endorsed for ‘planing’ crafts, which means, essentially, you can go fast! While there isn’t a formal test for this course, we do need to ensure that everyone is of a suitable standard before awarding the certificate. If (as participants occasionally do) you need a couple of extra hours to reach this standard, we will always be happy to organise this!
