It is encouraged that participants use their own boats during training once they are at a competent level. However, we require that you sign this waiver stating that you understand the risks inherent in the use of your boat in a training environment. Please speak to a Senior Instructor for more information.

I agree that I am responsible for ensuring that my boat is generally seaworthy and all emergency equipment is supplied and in working order. In the case of powered craft, kill cords (where fitted) must be operational, subject to a test by the instructor. *

I understand that while LRSS will ensure due diligence in making on-water sessions safe, there is an inherent risk of damage to vessels. In the case of damage to my vessel, I shall not hold LRSS responsible except for in the case of gross negligence or misconduct from the organisation. In the case of powered craft instruction, you (the owner/operator) shall remain as skipper throughout. *
